Ritesh and Kasturi were both born and brought up in Mumbai — but in different corners of the city, raised with different traditions.
Kasturi grew up surrounded by the vibrant customs of Maharashtra, while Ritesh family carried the soulful traditions rooted in the southern lands — often referred to as the City of Gods. Two cultures, two languages, two unique upbringings.
But destiny had other plans.
Surprisingly, their story didn’t begin in India. It began thousands of miles away — across seven oceans, in the United States of America. They met during college, far from home, and were instantly drawn to each other’s vibe. It was almost magical to find someone from your own land, who felt so familiar, yet so new.
What started as casual conversations quickly turned into late-night walks, inside jokes, and that warm feeling of being understood. Their bond grew stronger — full of laughter, deep talks, and shared dreams.
Soon, they decided to take the big step: to bring their families together and celebrate their love the traditional Indian way.
And that’s where the magic really began.
Imagine this — two people, from different cultural backgrounds, different languages, different family rituals — deciding to become one, not just in love, but in life.
Their wedding was nothing short of a big fat Indian celebration, held at a beautiful resort in Panvel, surrounded by every family member who ever prayed for their happiness. It wasn’t just a union of two people — it was a celebration of love, unity, and the beauty of blending traditions.
Every ritual, every smile, every dance — was filled with meaning, emotion, and joy.
How Equifo Became a Part of Ritesh & Kasturi’s Celebration
We were first contacted by Kiran, the bride’s beautiful sister — and honestly, more than a sister, she was the star of the show right after the bride and groom.
Kiran wasn’t just there to celebrate; she was the force behind every arrangement, every detail, every moment that made this wedding what it was. She did everything with so much love and joy — especially for her dear brother, whom she clearly adores.
She found us through social media. They had already booked a photographer for the engagement through someone else, but unfortunately, the experience didn’t meet their expectations.
Kiran was clear from the very beginning:
