Suhasani & Raymond

A once-in-a-lifetime wedding, where three countries met and tied the knot

Japan Weds India

Raymond is Japanese-American. He moved to the U.S. with big dreams and hopes, never expecting that one day, he would fall in love with a traditional South Indian girl.

Suhasini had come to America for her studies — smart, grounded, and full of life. One day, their paths crossed. It didn’t take long for conversations to turn into something deeper. Their connection was effortless — natural, like they were meant to find each other in a world of 8 billion people.

Slowly, cultures blended. They learned from each other — food, festivals, families, and emotions. And when it was time to make it official, they knew one thing for sure: they wanted a wedding that celebrated both sides of who they were.

So, they came to India.

Raymond’s entire family flew down for the wedding. Most of them had never even been to India before — and suddenly, they were part of a Tamil-style wedding, surrounded by coconut trees, temple bells, jasmine flowers, and rituals they had only ever seen in Bollywood films.

It wasn’t a huge wedding. Just close family. But it was intimate, warm, and deeply emotional.

What made it even more special? Every single one of Raymond’s family members wore traditional Indian outfits. They laughed, they danced, they folded hands during rituals, they sat cross-legged during puja, and they embraced everything with genuine love and curiosity.

Raymond looked royal in his veshti, Suhasini glowed in her silk saree, and their story — from two different worlds — felt like it all made perfect sense in that one moment.

It wasn’t just a wedding. It was a memory stitched with emotions, cultures, families, and love that didn’t care where you came from — only where you were going, together.

How equifo got the part?

At Equifo, we often run social media ads and share glimpses of our work online — stories captured through our lens, full of love, tradition, and moments that last forever.

One day, while scrolling through the internet, Suhasini’s father happened to come across our website. He spent time going through our galleries, watching our films, and seeing the kind of storytelling we do. Something about our work connected with him — maybe it was the emotions we try to capture, or the way we handle intimate weddings.

He decided to get on a call with us.

During that conversation, he shared how important this wedding was to their family. After all, the groom’s entire family was flying in from another country — it wasn’t just a marriage of two people, it was a meeting of cultures, emotions, and generations. It had to be handled with care, love, and precision.

We listened. We understood.

And by the end of that call, he said something that stayed with us:

“This isn’t just about photos and videos. I need someone who gets what this moment means to our families.”

That’s when he decided to trust Equifo with the wedding — and from that moment on, we weren’t just vendors. We were part of the story.
